Possible FAQ: Just let me download the TV listings

Post by jpboard3 »

I'd just like to download the raw TV listings in whatever format this site provides without have
to go through xmltv or any of those full-blown DVR applications on the Approved Apps page (I spent 4 hours trying to install xmltv and I'm giving up. I really don't need all that functionality anyway). Can I do that?

what OS?
what language?

If you just want to click on a link to download a file, that's not (currently) possible.

OS: Red Hat Linux
Language: Perl (or C, or C++, or whatever scripting language)

I have the perl SOAP modules installed. Is that enough?

A PHP script was recently posted [url-viewtopic.php?f=5&t=293&p=3064&hilit=php#p3064]HERE[/url]

I'm surprised you had trouble with xmltv... should be available as a RPM for RedHat.
