Did you move xmltv.exe? The share directory is shipped in the zip and it looks for it in the same directory as xmltv.exe
No, I extracted the files to a directory on my hard drive, and executed xmltv from there. However, it stalled out until I created the subdirectories. Maybe I didn't extract the files correctly? I'm used to just selecting and dragging files from a Zip file. Suppose I should have extracted, retaining directory structure, but it didn't even occur to me.
I wasn't able to actually grab any data, as I was asked for login information. Are subscriptions available yet, or is this in limbo until Zap2It goes silent (not long now)?
You can use xmltv with PTVL. I have been doing this since I registered.
Use xmltv to gather the listings. In Weblink, expand the tools menu and select "Convert XMLTV file(s) . . ." Select your saved .xml file and sync as usual.
It works smoothly. My main issue is that any program details, categories, etc . . . are not read or interpreted.
If anyone knows a workaround for getting the program details loaded . . .
Well, I don't think that's gonna fly. Who is going to pay for listings that contain no program details? And why say you're open for business for all apps until you have a method of delivery that doesn't require programming by the user? I realize they were under the gun timewise, but why not do well what you have for a few apps and then open up the others as you have smooth interfaces for them?

Schedules Direct is a data delivery service, nothing more. We have no control over your application. The data is in there (descriptions, category, etc). If your application doesn't support it, that's not SD's fault. Your (valid) complaint is with PTVL not us. If you paid and would like a refund, let us know.
We never said we're open for business for all apps. We said we're open for business and check with your application for support.
Do you complain to your ISP when your Bank doesn't support Quicken?
All the information is there, it is simply that without a PTVL update, we will not have the info. Just for giggles, I downloaded PTVB and tweaked the .ini files. I can download and view all the information from Shedules Direct.
Sorry it took so long (I had a few issues getting everything working again after not touching it for the last 3 years), but there's a new version of WebLink available that will download everything directly from Schedules Direct. Just do a Check for Upgrade from the Help menu and click Download.
Thanks for your efforts! I was just logging in to let people know that an upgrade had been made available. Your timing is impeccable. I just completed subscribing to Schedules Direct, updating Weblink, grabbing my listings, and copying them to my Pocket PC. It works seamlessly, and I am so pleased not to be without one of my favorite applications!
Thanks again for your efforts. I, for one, am very grateful.
