Where to put credentials in soap call

Post by slyttle »

Hi There,

I am tring to write my own java app for a Samsung Smart TV to display guide information.

I am going to have to create the soap message from scratch, and have already reviewed the python hand-coded example.

In that example I noticed that the userID and password is encoded into the message, but it isn't clear to me how to replicate this in a hand-coded soap envelope.

Normally I would just include the userID and password in the header or the soap message ... can I do that for the Schedules Direct webservice? If so, what tags to I need to use?

Any advice you might have would be appreciated.

thx

-Sheldon

It doesn't go in the SOAP envelope, it's in the HTTP POST.
