Can't download schedules.

I can't connect to webservices.schedulesdirect.tmsdatadirect.com. It seems there is a routing issue. I have tried contacting comcast but they are telling me to talk to AT&T. Is this really AT&T fault or is comcast BS me.

Yes, according to the traceroute it's a problem with AT&T, but you're not AT&T's customer or peer so there's no way you'll get to the right people.

You pay Comcast, and it is Comcast's responsibility to work with AT&T to resolve the problem.

Now, I just tried and get the same traceroute results. It also doesn't respond to pings.

However http://webservices.schedulesdirect.tmsdatadirect.com/ works (gets a 404 error, but it connects) and I can fetch data. So it looks like there is a node that's blocking traceroute and pings, but the service still works.

So it may or may not be a routing problem.

Ok any other ideas what my problem is? I haven't been able to get schedules in over a week now. When I went to http://webservices.schedulesdirect.tmsd ... tvdService in mozilla it asked me for a user name and password. It accepted it and gave an error about get. Everything had been working fine upuntil about a week and a half ago when updates stopped.

I can't configure xmltv - the error reads:

Code: Select all

Service description 'http://docs.tms.tribune.com/tech/tmsdatadirect/schedulesdirect/tvDataDelivery.wsdl' can't be loaded: 500 Can't connect to docs.tms.tribune.com:80 (Unknown error)

Sorry, for some reason I didn't see this message.

Tribune is not down very often. It's more likely there was an Internet routing problem (which is out of Tribune and your control).

The Schedules Direct server tests a number of services on Tribune every 5 minutes. If there are problems, we (SD admins) get notified and a message it automatically placed at the top of every application page on http://schedulesdirect.org (not the forums). So, just log in to your account and you'll see if it's a known issue. (I don't remember if it's on the main page)
