Re: please be real

MY LIFE IS ADVERSELY AFFECTED BY THE COST OF TV LISTINGS AND I MUST COMPLAIN ABOUT IT ON THE INTERNETS!!! I can't speak for others but for me Zap2It Labs seemed a bit like a skunkworks effort to bring the info in an open way (eg. XML) to the "little guy". Being one of those, that was important. Sch...

Re: Mixed Emotions!

More like SD shouldn't have to pay for listings either. There shouldn't be a TMS that "owns" the data. Because.... The providers (cable, network and broadcast stations who determine what will be on) should be required to provide listings in this modern world in a modern way. Or should they not. Tha...

Re: Mixed Emotions!

btw- I'm also not going to be intimidated in my postings by constant misrepresentation of my position. You didn't actually address my question. Please stop acting like I want SD to give it away for free. Some may have said that. I did not. Then your statements are too indirect to understand because...

Re: Mixed Emotions!

slim, Robert, Alan, wensail, abigail - Is it then that, unlike me, you do think it's reasonable for an American or Canadian to pay for listings information? No troll - I stated in previous post a position based on this assumption and I'm curious to check it. Obviously the idea of lobbying to change...

Re: Mulitple lineups

Still isn't working. I figured if I set it up just like it was for TMS it would. When I pull from the new Sacramento channel source for the Svideo, it wants to add the Fresno ones for Firewire. Also the Firewire wants to use the Svideo even if I delete the Svideo channels I want to go to Firewire. I...

Re: Mulitple lineups

I don't think it will be a problem. We'll let you know if it is. Why the #3 & #4 lineups? Myth now supports per-device channel maps... no need to use the SD channel editor and multiple lineups. XMLTV also supports local channel filtering. (MythTV's solved limitation was the reason many folks had mu...

Re: Mixed Emotions!

Your comments are by far the worse I have ever read in any forum anywhere. If that is actually true then I'm going to spend the weekend drunk. I'm going to walk out in the wilderness for 40 hours and get naked and wrassle with some trees. I'm going to re-evaluate my life, my reality and my place in...

Re: Mixed Emotions!

Perhaps the next goal can be $10/month? There's the occasional user who posts to our freeguide lists that, in effect, $20/yr is too much. Well, on the one hand I pay more for cigarette lighters per year than that. But, on the other hand, there's this underlying acknowledgment that guide information...
