Re: Mixed Emotions!

Would not lobbying efforts qualify? Legally I mean, not morally. It depends on the type of non-profit status we obtain. 501(c)(3) organizations are limited in the type of lobbying they can do. It must be on mission and it must be limited. If there is a congressional hearing on say requiring broadca...

Re: TMS Auth Failure in Colorado

It is a general failure, listings downloads succeed but any attempt to access one's lineup from schedulesdirect.org fails.

TMS started working on the problem at 5:20 pm EST, so far at 6:00 pm EST we have yet to get a status report back.

Re: Wow, that was fast

What would it take to pay the additional $5 for the full year? The problem is that our payment processors take a big bite out of small payments, so it would be more like $6 to extend to a full year. Congratulations! Did you guys expect it to happen THIS quickly? No. :) We were expecting to reach th...

Re: Only need episode numbers, titles, descriptions

Would the TOS allow me to parse series titles, episode titles, episode descriptions, and original episode date from the listings, store it in my database, and redistribute using our XML interfaces? No, that would count as republishing. You are better off accepting user submissions and screen scrapi...

Re: Already paid for three schedule services including Zap2It

Any way to get some sort of credit for that, having just switched to Linux from Windows? Hehe, rest assured that unlike the Zap2It, TitanTV and GemStar licenses you've been subject to in the past, which are locked to a particular piece of software, we don't mind if you switch from GB-PVR to MythTV ...

Re: Multiple PVRs in one home - accceptable use of data

As long as it is a single household you are ok with respect to the Subscriber Agreement. Does Schedules Direct allow me to log in multiple times with the same userid in one day to retrieve data? Yes, but this is primarily intended to allow people to set up their boxes. Multiple pulls may get delayed...

Re: Antenna Only Pricing?

I was wondering if you have considered a reduced pricing schedule for those of us who have antenna only programing. I don't have cable or satellite, no DVR or anything because I can't afford it. I'm not sure I can justify 20-30 dollars a year for 15 or 20 channels. I had kind of gotten use to using...

Re: Channel Icons and Names

Two questions... first is I was wondering if SD would be providing any kind of service to allow use to get channel icons? I tried using the perl script from XMLTV, but apparently it used to scrape zaq2it's site to get them and isn't working anymore (or I'm doing something wrong). SD will probably n...

Re: Ticket System now installed

Just as an FYI, we're linking our ticketing system with the TMS ticketing system over the coming week which will speed up resolution in the future but may cause some delays this week and possibly into next week. The integration will allow tickets to flow directly from Robert K to the desk of the per...

Re: Paying for my dad

As always, I am not a lawyer. 1/ Have your dad look over the Subscriber Agreement, Privacy Policy and Terms of Use. 2/ Get his ok to sign him up. NOTE: If you have power of attorney to do things like this for him, because he's senile or something of that nature, you can do steps 1 & 2 for him. 3/ Si...
