Re: The Benefits of Registering

I got an email today saying my trial subscription has expired. I went ahead and renewed for one year, but I have a question. What is the benefit of renewing a trial membership? Before I renewed, I was still able to go into the TV Guide and see all the program listings. Shouldn't that ability be hal...

It's in the source. Both in a tarball or if pulled from svn. If you installed from packages they I don't know if/where it might be.

Re: Appropriate Refresh

I'm just curious why the default behavior changed from refreshing every day over the next two weeks, to just refreshing the 14th day. I realize that the servers are taking a hit, and bandwidth is a cost issue (now that we're all paying for it), That isn't a change, it's always done that as far back...

Re: Hard Coded URLs

Install the latest version of XMLTV which handles the new stuff. Run it with the --download-only flag so one can manipulate the data. Then run mythfilldatabase with the --dd-data flag with the output of the manipulation. Don't know how may of the applications could use a similiar method. Without ha...

Re: Hard Coded URLs

Sounds like good idea a perfect project for you. I'm sure there are many which would appreciate it. Either a customized XMLTV to grab the data and alter the changed fields for manual use with mythfilldatabase or something similar. To Follow up on my own response, I was reading some of the mythtv-us...

Re: DD Schema Wish List

I'd very much like enough info added to the lineup schema so that MythTV gets enough info to tune digital cable channels without having to manually scan channels and match up the info to schedulesdirect channels. Right now there's no way to make the setup process for digital cable users newbie-frie...

Re: Hard Coded URLs

Schedules Direct purchased a license to use the TMS data. More than likely they can manipulate that data in any manner in which they choose and in turn provide it to their subscribers. Instead it seems they have choosen to be only a gatekeeper to the TMS data for the individuals who subscribe to th...

Re: Suggested next time to update

Except that run at suggested next time apparently doesn't work with SD because it was overlooked when the code changes were made for 0.20.2. I imagine it will get fixed in -fixes and trunk shortly. Hmmm Yup, looks like you are right. My next update time was an hour ago but wasn't done. I've been do...

Re: Hard Coded URLs

The field change doesn't seem to be anything which requires an upgrade to the entire MythTv package. In fact, there seems to have been two single line commands posted in a couple of places for the MySQL database which take care of it. Those SQL updates are for updating your current recording info a...

Just worried about load on SD.

The suggested next time is sent with the XML data and myth does it's best to honour that. You don't need to worry about it :)
