Re: Cannot connect with Schedules Direct server

can you access other web pages from that server? Maybe there's a simple networking problem.

Re: PlutoTV line up - missing channels, mismatches

you're probably better off clicking the "lineup support" link on our website.... That will automatically notify RobertK (a different Robert)

Re: Can I download the SD-DD guide XML file?

We provide an API, not a direct download link. The easiest way tp get data IMHO is with XMLTV utilities tv_grab_na_dd --configure # answer questions tv_grab_na_dd --days 5 --dd-data tv.xml --download-only # this will download data to tv.xml in xtvd format (native format for sd-dd) tv_grab_na_dd --da...

Re: SD in Tivimate

Tivimate appears to be a streaming player (probably used mostly for pirate streams). It's not on the list of approved applications. Our contract with Gracenote only allows data to be used on non-commercial (basically hobbyist) applications. They have also granted exceptions for abandoned products on...

Re: No data for 23 hours during switch from daylight savings to standard time

I'm not sure if NextPVR allows you to view the raw downloaded data, but you can do a grab using an XMLTV tool and look at XMLTV formatted data and see if the issue is on our side. I doubt it, but that's a way to isolate it.

Re: No data for 23 hours during switch from daylight savings to standard time

Schedules Direct data is in UTC, so has no concept of DST.... conversion to local time is done by the grabber or application.

Re: No data after 5PM tomorrow (Wed Oct 14, 2020)

Note I'm on a Mac. And that apparently requires installation of Fink, X11.. and other items. As posted before.. I'm not a compute science major... I'm merely a tv viewer desiring a guide. Most Free software is developed to "scratch an itch" by someone. They then spend a little effort to share it wi...

Re: No data after 5PM tomorrow (Wed Oct 14, 2020)

Download XMLTV.. simplest is http://alpha-exe.xmltv.org ( full docs are in the official XMLTV.ORG windows download. google probably works too :) ) Save it to a directory somewhere.. preferably w/o spaces (to avoid problems). I've used c:\xmltv in the past. from the command prompt xmltv.exe tv_grab_z...

Re: No data after 5PM tomorrow (Wed Oct 14, 2020)

RobertK can talk more about the technical aspects of SD-JSON, but the main web server does a SD-JSON test every 5 minutes (get token, download a small lineup, check results) and displays any concerns on the top of the main SD web page. So, I don't think there has been an outage. It does sound like f...

Re: mc2xml.exe FAIL

mc2xml has often been on shaky legal ground with it's data sources. I suspect because of that the author was always anonymous, frequently changed hostnames, etc. I have no idea where he/she is now, or even if it is still supported. (using mc2xml has never been a legal issue with SD... it's just a cl...
