Re: PlutoTV line up - missing channels, mismatches

Frankly attempting to use 3rd party guide data with Pluto isn't worth the hassle. Most of their original channels are programmed with less than a day or two in advanced planning, so the schedule Gracenote has is just blocks with the name of the channel as the program title, and ever since Viacom too...

Re: Developer discussion for API 20191022

The /transmitters/ listing is only for the UK where their Freeview network is made up of specific designated transmission sites carrying the MUX's run by the BBC and commercial operators like ITV, Channel 4 and Arqiva, containing the same set of channels for each nation, along with some city specifi...

Re: [Feature Request] Portuguese-Portugal EPG.

Their upstream data provider Gracenote doesn't provide listings for Portugal, they only provide listings for channels that have international feeds for expats like RTP Internacional, TVI Internacional, SIC Internacional, RTP3 and SIC Noticias. So even if they created a custom Portugal lineup, it wou...

Re: Frequency of daily-schedule MD5 changes

Yeah, that's what some other applications do for updates, today, tommorow and new days. The thing is if ANYTHING changes it generates a new md5 hash. Like if a specific episode gets an updated detail the md5 hash for its programID changes, the md5 hash for every day that episode airs changes to aler...

Re: Frequency of daily-schedule MD5 changes

Some of it is because the episode descriptions don't get sent out by the networks until a few days prior, like soaps and talk shows. While others are because channels that don't stick to :00 and :30 start times only provide the up to the minute airtimes a few days in advanced. Plus these days there ...

Re: Hulu Guide

The SD-JSON service does have lineups for Hulu Live TV and other OTT services like Fubo, YouTube, Sling, Philo, Vidgo and DirecTV/ATT Now. You can find them as transport type "IPTV".

Re: What is the source of call signs in for channel data?

The guide data supplier Gracenote/TMS has unique callsigns for each station in the database. For OTA stations in the USA and Canada they use the station's official assigned callsign, and for their digital channels they use their callsign with DTx at the end. (i.e. in Detroit, "WJBK" for Fox 2 SD, "W...

Re: EPG ID

BBC Three no longer exists as a linear channel, it shutdown last April, while the channel it shared with, CBBC, expanded its hours in the evening. BBC Three now only exists as an on demand selection on BBC iPlayer. The CW is a broadcast network that only airs during primetime on weeknights, the rest...

Yes, the listings for the SD feed doesn't have the HD flags. It's useful if you have software that lets you filter or search for HD programming.

Re: NBC data seems wrong thru Jan 2017

I guess you missed the promos, news reports and articles that have been covering this for the past 2 months+. WHDH is no longer affiliated with NBC as of today and is now independent. Boston's new NBC affiliate is WBTS. It's kind of complicated over the air: WBTSLD 8-1 (RF 46) - 101517 (A low power ...
