Re: MythTV Howto?
Marc, here's the link. You know it's late when you forget things like links. http://www.gossamer-threads.com/lists/mythtv/users/285196 I haven't tried the script as-is, as I have an updated xmltv package and use the real tv_grab_na_dd . There's only this part that makes me wondering... > 2) Modify ....

Re: XMLTV
It's all working now. I think I'll get off the Fedora threadmill soon... too many releases, support/packages is too short.

Re: MythTV Howto?
Greetings, I tried the bottom up approach, replacing my xmltv 0.5.42 first. This went well and I was getting the listings in an xml format. Then I came across this posting (from tonight) from John, edited the file to make it use the newly installed /usr/bin/tv_grab_na_dd and everything works just li...

Re: XMLTV
i got it working using xmltv. you needed to make sure that you used the -1 option with mythtfilldatabase which tells it to replace everything. here's the thread for help: http://forums.schedulesdirect.org/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=60&st=0&sk=t&sd=a&start=20 I did use the -1 option, and they're still in t...

Re: XMLTV
After years of looking at Linux as the way forward, problems like this make me think that Linux will stay a hobbyist operating system. I gave the xml file I got from the windows application to mythfilldatabase, and it doubled up the channels. I'm having problems from one end to the other. This is fa...

Re: MythTV Howto?
Every path I look at point me to upgrading tons of packages.
If only "yum update xmltv" worked (for that, I would need a FC3 package).
The setup I have has both linux, windows (+ vmware, samba, etc...). What's special about the Windows .EXE file so that it cannot run under Wine?

Re: XMLTV
This is not as straightforward as anticipated. I'm running Myth 0.19 on FC3. XMLTV packages are all in, and replacing them with the ones for Schedules Direct might be quite a process. #yum update xmltv should be the way to update xmltv, but there are no package readily available for this. The latest...

Re: XMLTV
The way I currenly have it, mythfilldatabase is going directly to zap2it. I will change it to xmltv, manually with crontab jobs (one to get all the data into a file, one calling mythfilldatabase). I will likely set this up tonight, or tomorrow night. I will let you know how it goes. Sorry about any ...
