Re: Certain channels off by 3 hours

I know that TMS recently did some rearranging of the channel lineups in the Northwest. Callsigns like USAHD suddenly contained EST data, with new callsigns like USAHDP created to hold the PST data. TMS sent the correct update values in the XML but few if any of the SD approved applications know how ...

Re: "Subchannel" Data?

That's odd -- mythfilldatabase shouldn't be touching the channel lineup by default (it's supposed to load them once and not touch them again until you ask). However, I've been running 0.22 trunk/beta/whatever for ages, so maybe there is a bug about this that was fixed awhile ago. You might also try ...

Re: Internet video

I think that the links could be useful, if MythTV and other PVRs could be expanded to use the data. I think the problem is assuming that if the new data became available that no one would try to expand them to take advantage of it. . I do as well, which is why we're looking into it. It all comes do...

Re: Internet video

Tribune has offered to sell us an expanded data feed that links to online TV feeds at sites like abc.com. It's not a separate list of shows like you might find on Hulu, but is instead a link to shows in the current lineups that are available on broadcasters' websites in case you missed the live show...

We've added a new secton to the site that allows for us to collect anonymous surveys.

http://www.schedulesdirect.org/survey/

Our first survey is about providing international listings data, so please head over and share your opinion, especially if you live outside of the US and Canada.

Re: How to start?

Functions like __construct() and __destruct() should never be called directly by other parts of the code. Use of an underscore prefix to a method name is a convention many developers use to indicate "private" methods.. PHP took this one step further and used double-underscore to denote special priva...

Looking For Volunteer Developers

In an effort to provide better service and more accurate TV listings, Schedules Direct is moving forward with our plans to host TV listings data on our own servers. This new application will initially be responsible for parsing an incoming feed from Tribune Media Services, and serving it to the Sche...

Re: Blackberry listings

Sorry, I haven't heard of one. However, if you happen to run across one and it's free and/or open source, you can feel free to put them in touch with us to see if they would qualify to be added to our list of approved applications.

Re: Feature that might add more value...

From what I've been told by TMS, many of those companies license the logos individually from the respective stations.

There is a project related to MythTV that has been collecting some channel icons, and I eventually hope to start moving again on a more standard service like xmltv for channel info.
