Re: The Great Canadian Digital Over-the-Air Thread

Hello, I am in the Toronto area, and the US Zipcode I use is 14201, which is in the Buffalo area. Naturally, all the US ATSC stations seem to be listed, but the only the analogue Canadian stations are listed. It would bew great to blend the listings from Rogers Digital with 14201 for a complete list...

Re: How do I update when a station changes frequencies?

I guess I need to "rescan" for channels. Do I do that in MythTV, HDHomerun or SD somehow? SD isn't showing a lineup change. When I rescanned before I got duplicate channels and erased the old ones, but I'm still not getting my shows. I already rescanned in MythTV and the HDHomerun, but maybe I didn...

Re: Getting lineup for OTA digital

There is some progress.. but it's going slow. Hopefully we'll have something to announce in a few months. It's all contract delays.. no coding has begun. Robert Robert, Thanks for the response. I figured it was something like that. Less cost for SD probably means less revenue for Tribune. Victor

Re: Getting lineup for OTA digital

Robert, I am in Canada and have noticed that I also needed to add an OTA lineup from Buffalo to get the OTA ATSC stations. The antenna listings for zip code 14203 had the Buffalo and Toronto-based HD stations, but the Toronto Antenna listings only had the analogue station. I was wondering about why ...

Re: Getting lineup for OTA digital

I'm trying to find out how I can get the tv listing for my OTA HD channels and its subchannels. Right now, I'm only getting the listings for the main channel and not their subchannels. Thank you. Hi, You don't mention what application you're using or where you are, so I will try to be general: 1. A...

Re: Lineup Issue - Mapping to OTA ATSC

It sounds like you're in Toronto too, and there is a way to do what you need to do in MythTV (http://www.mythtv.org), but I am not too sure about mediaportal. What you need to do is create a new lineup, or use the Rogers Digital line-up, which includes the HD channels you're receiving OTA. In Myth, ...

Re: Custom Lineups

Hi, I was thinking about how I could get the HD OTA listings into my SD profile in the easiest way, and had an idea: Many of the sations are avalable in existing lineups, just not a single lineup with the channels I need, so why not have the ability to search for the XMLTVID for the channel I want, ...

Re: Listings for digital tuner on basic cable

You need to manually edit your lineup by finding out what station those unknown channels are and entering in the appropriate XMLTVID. You can also remap the channel numbers to something more meaningful to you. I thought it may be a manual situation. D'oh! Thanks for the info. Is this something done...

Re: WCSN and other Toronto area issues.

Hi, In an ideal situation I would love to have the HD channels included in the Toronto OTA listings, but I have located a bit of a hack for HDHomeRun (http://www.hdhomerun.com) and MythTV (http://www.mythtv.org) that may be applicable in different circumstances. I'm not sure if this would work for y...

Re: Bell ExpressVU - PPV

Hi, I am also a Bell Expressvu Myth user. To date I have never used a grabber and have done all of my recordings manually becuase I haven't installed an IR Blaster yet. Can I assume that all the non-PPV channels with Bell are included in the information SD provides? For the regular non-HD PPV chann...
