Any Way To Support Android STB From SD Data?

Postby kg4muc » Fri Apr 22, 2016 5:33 am

I have an Amiko A3 STB that has the Cross EPG app already installed and I would really love to be able to use the EPG functions.

Any assistance greatly appreciated!!

I'm not familiar with CrossEPG, but it's not on our list of approved applications.

Is it open source?

Is it used to promote a commercial product?

It may be best to have the developer contact us if they are non-commercial.

Not really sure who the developer of this app really is. The STB came pre-installed with this app.

Here is what I have found concerning this app

https://github.com/E2OpenPlugins/e2openplugin-CrossEPG

Sorry I don't have more and better information on this subject. If I can locate a name for a developer I will attempt to contact them and in turn have them get in touch with you.

Thanks for the information!

Taking a quick look at it, looks like it was developed by the STB manufacturer and then released open source.

Since it's being used to sell STBs, that makes it commercial (even though open source) and SD isn't licensed to provide guide data to it.

Ok.. Thanks for digging into this.
At least we know what it is and that is does fall into the commercial category.

Thanks Again!
