Newbie question....how do I get a listing for a zipcode?

Postby winneymj13 » Fri Jul 24, 2015 7:09 am

Hi,
I am a hobbyist/developer who is looking to retrieve the US TV lineups and see that you provide that service. When I looked at the SOAP request samples I see that a start and end time can be passed, but was wondering how it knows about my location? I was hoping to see an element for zipcode, but even the WSDL does not show it.

Thanks
Mark

You can't download data for the entire US. (by design)

For the SD-DD service, you're allowed to choose 4 lineups on our web page. (can be 4 different zips).

Robert,
are you saying that when you signup for the service you are then able to pick up to 4 zipcodes that will be returned in your SOAP requests?

Thanks

Well, 4 lineups.. there is usually more than one lineup for a zipcode ( Broadcast, Time Warner, U-Verse, DirectTV, etc)

And yes, the data will show up in the SOAP call.

Sign up, add a lineup, and go to http://schedulesdirect.org/getdata to see what the data looks like (it downloads 30 seconds as a test)
