The Great Canadian Digital Over-the-Air Thread

Attention Canadians!

I'm Robert Kulagowski, Support Manager for Schedules Direct. If you've submitted a lineup or schedule discrepancy, I'm the one that takes the ticket, assesses it, and then escalates it to Tribune when required.

As you know, Tribune did not have digital ATSC stations listed in your postal code, but if you opened a ticket I always replied back with boilerplate that told you to look at the nearest U.S. zip code to see if the Canadian ATSC station is listed there.

As of 2009-08-12, this is no longer the case. ATSC has been added to Canadian postal codes:

Headend Name: Digital Local Broadcast
Headend Location: Toronto
Headend ID: ;M4J3A6

Channel Call Sign
5.1 CBLTDT
9.1 CFTODT
11.1 CHCHDT
17.1 WNEDDT
17.2 WNEDDT2
17.3 WNEDDT3
23.1 WNLODT
25.1 CBLFTDT
36.1 CITSDT
41.1 CIIIDT
47.1 CFMTDT
52.1 CKXTDT
57.1 CITYDT
69.1 CJMTDT

Please check your native postal code and open a ticket with Schedules Direct if there are discrepancies in the ATSC listings.

Robert, thanks for the outstanding work you and the rest of the team have done.

I'm in Oakville, ON and use Zip code 14174. Works for me!

Hi Robert,

I'm in Ottawa (Richmond, to be specific). I'm using Ogdensburg, ZIP 13669, which works mostly fine with two exceptions:

1. CKXT-DT (Sun TV), broadcasting on UHF 20 (20.1 and 20.2) is not listed. It's a relatively new translator, and the programming is identical to that of CKXT-DT in Hamilton.
2. CJMT-TV (Omni 2, analog, not digital) broadcasts on UHF 14, but is not listed. Its sister station, CFMT-TV, broadcasts on UHF 60 from the same tower and *is* listed, however. Also, CJMT-TV shows up under the Ottawa channel listings, but not under Ogdensburg.

Thanks,

james

I just checked, and the above has not had Sun-TV added yet. Any ideas when it will be?

The addition of CJMT to 14.1 and CKXT to 20.x to zip code 13669 was submitted to Tribune on 2009-01-02. The last update from Tribune indicates that they're working some sort of frequency issue, so once I know more I'll post it here.

Hello,

I am in the Toronto area, and the US Zipcode I use is 14201, which is in the Buffalo area.

Naturally, all the US ATSC stations seem to be listed, but the only the analogue Canadian stations are listed.

It would bew great to blend the listings from Rogers Digital with 14201 for a complete list, but I guess we have to wait until custom line-ups are a reality.

Cheers

I use an antenna to receive my ATSC and analog broadcasts. I've set up two lineups,
one for the analog and one for the ATSC. These work for me.

New to Buffalo, NY Channels since the cutover

Postby sgracey » Tue Jun 16, 2009 7:26 pm

Since the DTV cutover on June 12th, I'm receiving several channels that I haven't been able to receive before, and I can't find the listing for them. I have been using a combination of zip codes 14131 and 14174 to manage my setup, but they don't list these new channels. Any thoughts on how to find the listings on schedules direct?

2.3 - RTV or RTN - Listings are available here http://www.wgrz.com/life/programming/st ... dule.aspx-

51.2 or 23.2 - QUBO -
51.3 or 23.3 - IONLIFE -
51.4 or 23.4 - WORSHIP -

Well with the assistance of Robert from schedules direct, I now have full channel listings for all the Buffalo OTA channels I can receive. After opening the ticket with Robert, the final step I needed to follow was reconfigure my lineup. To do this I deleted my existing lineup for zip code 14174, then configured it again. After that full listings.

Robert, thanks for the update on ATSC listings here in Canada.

I have now replied to ticket 2775 with this info:

Our postal code here is K2H6S3 (Ottawa).
The over-the-air schedulesdirect lineup for K2H6S3 has the following issues:

1. CFMTDT shows as 47-1, whereas it is really on 27-1 at present (UHF 27).
2. CJMTDT shows as 69-1, whereas it is really on 66-1 at present (UHF 66).
3. CKXTDT (SunTV) shows as 52-1, whereas it is really on 20-1,20-2 at present (UHF 20).
4. WNPI-DT is missing. We receive it O.T.A. here as 18-1,18-2,18-3 (UHF 23).
5. WCFE analog (UHF 57) is listed, but no longer exists as a real station.

Cheers
