Program listing offset from 1 hour after day light saving

Post by Dhanu » Sat Mar 15, 2008 11:48 am

Hi All,

I'm in kansas (Central standard time) and I have been using ScheduleDirect for some time with out any problem. How ever after last time change I noticed that schedule direct programming listing is not adjusted to the new time.

As a work around I keep the time on my PC as the old time.
Does anyone else has this problem?
Any fixes for this?

Thanks in advance. ;)

Schedules Direct data uses UTC... If you're having DST issues, it's most likely a local system or application problem.

(You don't mention what application or you're using)

I am having the same problem. If a show starts at 2pm, it shows up as 3pm on my system. I'm using GB-PVR. I tried deleting the EPG and then updating it but that did not correct the problem.

Not sure is this is much help, but UTC comes from Britain and they do not start Daylight Savings Time till the end of March.
The new US DST dates may have screwed the listings up. As an aside I use PTVB and do not have this problem.

Have you opened a ticket within Schedules Direct to report the discrepancy? What's your ticket number?

Before you open a ticket with us, look at the raw data and do the math yourself to confirm the UTC time is wrong. I've never seen a case where a 1 hour offset wasn't a local DST or other timezone problem.

(2 hour offset can be the wrong satellite feed)

How do I do that ?

P.S: and sorry for posting the question and not returning to the thread for a long time.
I had enabled the "Notify me when a reply is posted" option, but didn't get the notification e-mail.
So I thought no one had replied me.
There could be a problem with your notification system

With GBPVR? I have no idea.. you'll have to ask them.

Post-edit .. I watched the mail log when posting things, the message went out and your email provider accepted the message. If you don't get it, it's a problem on their end (maybe spam filtering).
