confirmed the problem.. at least part of it is on own end.

Not sure what's going on yet, as today's status email on data import was ok. One problem was the timezone on the load balancer was wrong at least after yesterday's patch/reboot.

I'm digging into the data now.

I have 90 minutes to fix it, before the "midnight surges" begin. (huge surges of people who start downloading at exactly midnight local time instead of using a suggested time)

Fixed... the data validation failed because there were fewer values for genres, credits, etc and I didn't notice the warning.

There was also a timezone problem on the load balancer after yesterday's reboot (GLIBC patches).

Everything should be back to normal. If you guys want to do a manual grab, please don't do it in the first 15 minutes of the hour!

(and be sure to use the suggested times function in your apps!)

Just tried again, and it's working now. I'm in Virginia.

I'm using Pocket TV Browser and I received no listings beyond Feb 13 at 6:00 pm. I'm in California 95616.

I do it manually, what is a good suggested time to do it?

Here's something I set up.. and this is the first time I've told anyone! :)

http://schedulesdirect.org/getack

It does the "acknowledge" method that returns a suggested time. It is a similar to /getdata testing the download method.

So, you can manually do the "getack" and set up your nightly job based on it's semi-randomly generated time. Be sure to convert the UTC result to your local timezone.

I still prefer the automated approach that calls "acknowledge" method daily, but it's a good manual solution.

I download raw data to a xml file with this script:

xmltv tv_grab_na_dd --auto-config add --dropbadchar -output feed.xml -days 14

Starting Sat it fails with:

Service description 'http://docs.tms.tribune.com/tech/tmsdat ... ivery.wsdl' can't be loaded: 500 Can't connect to docs.tms.tribune.
com:80 (connect: Unknown error)
