Check with the WiRNS folks, I've been working with Henry and we're very close, if not already there.

I updated the Top post... "Fake Postal Codes" are not supported with SD-DD, sorry. The JSON service probably has the data you're looking for, but at the moment only a few apps support it. Maybe you can find some US Satellite listings that have most of the stations.

Over the past few months, we've been trying to work with devs to have tests done and a plan in place so all the members will know what's going on without inciting a panic. That has been very slow going for some apps. But you're absolutely right, I should have sent a blast out sooner... certainly before last week's DNS change. It's my fault and the fact that I've been a bit busy isn't much of an excuse. Sorry.

Thanks Robert. I found this thread in the WiRNS forum and will follow the updates going on there:

It appears I'm one of the 50% testing the new service. I use a little Windows application called TVG, which puts a friendly user interface on data fetched and processed using the command line xmltv.exe, version 0.5.63. This combination has worked fine for years.

When I synced tonight, the first time in about a week, it did get the data, but it also logged many errors that I had not seen before. (I've seen "WARNING: New channel" messages before, and have managed to fix most of them.) I'm removing hundreds of duplicate error message lines so I can fit the log here.

Any ideas on how to fix it? I'm already using the Windows hosts file trick you documented. Sande

re: duplicate station warnings for OTA lineups

There was a problem with the raw data. TMS fixed it in today's update, but I'm adding a unique key to prevent it in the future.

I have upgraded to mythtv 0.27.4, so I am using the new URL.
Today I discovered that it added a bunch of High Def channels to mythtv that I do not subscribe to. Is this expected? I checked the schedules direct page where my lineup is selected and those channels are all not selected so I should not be getting them. It did not add any standard def channels although I believe there are standard def versions of these. These channels seem to have been added this morning, today I noticed it was scheduling a recording from HBO, and that was not on the schedule yesterday.

This is what it added

You probably connected the first time using Digest authentication.... I've noticed a lot of MythTV clients used Basic, but many just failed until I added Digest authentication support.

If you first connection is using Digest, there's no way for me to get your edited channels, so I just add everything. If you go to the SD web page, click edit lineup, and then save, the sd-dd server should be updated. This has to be done before 11/1, or you'll have to manually edit your channels.

Does this apply to json users too? Does this avoid manually adding each lineup?

The JSON service does not use a web page to add / delete lineups; that's all done through your client.
