NextPVR v3.2.9 now working again; both lineup and full EPG downloads produce expected results in reasonable times (2 seconds for lineup only, 50 seconds for full EPG).
johnsonx wrote:I tested NextPVR 3.2.9 with SD-DD a week ago and all seemed well. Now NextPVR users are starting to report getting no EPG data since SD-DD went live and TMS started re-directing traffic.

I tested here, and I'm getting a good login and response, but like others have reported the download is basically empty. Here's what I get when I ask NextPVR to download my lineup:

Code: Select all

<xtvdResponse type='ns1:xtvdResponse'>
<messages type='ns1:messages'>
<message>Your subscription will expire: 2015-09-28T06:29:24Z</message>
</messages>
<xtvd from='2014-10-19T00:00:00Z' to='2014-10-19T00:00:00Z' schemaVersion='1.3' >
<stations>
</stations>
<lineups>
<lineup id='CA04977:X' name='Time Warner Cable' location='Santa Ana' type='CableDigital' device='Digital' postalCode='92705' >
</lineup>
</lineups>
</xtvd>
</xtvdResponse>

An excerpt of my mythfilldatabase output:

Code: Select all

2014-10-19 18:41:01.101882 I Opening blocking connection to master backend
2014-10-19 18:41:01.176175 I  New Client:  (#1)
2014-10-19 18:41:01.678792 I  Updating source #1 (SchedulesDirect) with grabber schedulesdirect1
2014-10-19 18:41:01.679139 I  Found 740 channels for source 1 which use grabber

Compared to a screenshot of my SchedulesDirect account:

As you can see, I shouldn't have all 740 channels appearing...

Matt, I don't know your SD username to check the DB.

Eric, you look good in the DB.. are you still having the problem? I wonder if the failed DB load this morning caused a problem.

I'm just coming up to speed (didn't realize what was happening with format change!)

I just ran successfully so must have hit the good side of 50% .

Will XMLTV provide a windows binary with the changes necessary (or am I missing something here again?) ???

Will this official XMLtv need to be installed by November 1, 2014?

Some one has indicated that the 50% SD /TMS will go to 100% SD.

Thus any old XMLtv could be used without even the "hosts" file addition.

Please clarify.

TIA

Yes, on all counts. Right before Nov 1, I plan to ask Gracenote to update DNS so we get 100% of the traffic rather than 50%. After Nov 1, Gracenote won't be able to request any changes and the domain name can go away at any time. So I have no idea when you'll break post Nov if you're still on Tribune's servers. It could be Nov 3, 2014. it could be in the year 2525 (if man is still alive)

I suggest you replace your xmltv.exe with the alpha-exe and move on with your life :) There's no reason to wait for the official release,

Robert

Duh.. I thought I tried to look that up.

I show 662 stations excluded. Are you still seeing the stations in your download?

If you are try editing your SD lineup, just click save, and test again.
