mc2xml.chl file

Postby lorrrr » Fri Sep 30, 2016 4:30 am

Using mc2xml to download the epg and it works perfectly. The problem is the xml file is much too big!
There is a file you can create mc2xml.chl that you can use to limit the number of channels downloadd.
I have tried many different ways to use this file but as soon as you put anything in the file, even only one channel to skip (eg: -I101.30644.schedulesdirect.org )
then no channels are downloaded at all!

Does the mc2xml.chl file work with the JSON service or is the only way to get a smaller xmltv file is to limit the number of days data downloaded?

Thanks
Chris

Use the duration (-d) switch and specify the number of hours. e.g. mc2xml.exe -d 192 would give you 8 days worth of data.

Here is an example of what my mc2xml.chl file.
--------------------------
# include channels (inclusive)
101-210
300-306
600-606
609-652
700-708
970-986

# Include
505
511
710
721
726
730
950
960
964

# exclude channels
-140
-146
-147
-161
-201
-203
-206
