Re: MythTV 0.20.2 internal SD grabber problems

Do I understand correctly that the internal grabber for SD in MythTV 0.20.2 is not working properly? I'm just verifying that I'm not missing something here... I setup the internal grabber and clicked on the fetch button, and it successfully retrieved the remainder of the information on the setup sc...

Re: New channels

Are new channels enabled or disabled when they first enter the line up? I believe they are enabled. However I believe most applications give you the option of automatically adding the new channels to their listings or not. For instance in MythTV, if you run your daily mythfilldatabase with the --re...

Re: Antenna lineup

jhines97, In response to your question as to whether you still need to input two nearby zip codes for some antenna locations, such as on your mountain ridge between two markets. For now yes. Antenna reception is based on a formula which is only really valid on flat land. In the future we hope to fix...

Re: Antenna lineup

We got a report from TMS about 30 minutes ago that the Canadian Antenna lineups should be functioning now. I verified with the postal codes posted in this thread and all appeared to work.

Re: How many subscribers will it take?

I'm curious, how many subscribers are "enough?" And can you provide a live counter of how many people have signed up so far? Sorry, I needed to redact my post after talking with some of the board members. I made some comments which may be interpreted as announcements that we haven't committed to ye...

Re: Will not pay for listings

That's over $300 dollars a day they are paying to have guide data? No way, why would zap2it give up that kind of money when they were already setup and working perfectly. Heh, if getting listings data for all MythTV users in the US and Canada were only $300 a day the membership dues would be a lot ...

Re: unable to get lineup

Failed writing HTTP request: Bad file descriptor. My only guess would be that for some reason MythTV is unable to open temporary files in "/tmp", you should probably post this in the MythTV user mailing list, there is sure to be more help there. You probably want to tell people Linux distribution y...

Re: Privacy policy?

Has there been any progress on the privacy policy? Yes, we have a first draft from the lawyers that we're reviewing now. The promise not to sell our info to unrelated third parties is good, but my main concern is whether our personally-identifiable info will be sold/given to TMS or not, and if so, ...

Re: Hard Coded URLs

I checked several of the non-MythTv approved applications today. We considered waiting until more of the applications were ready before going live, but after some argument decided that it was better to allow people to sign-up and experiment than wait and possibly have some fatal flaws exposed too l...

Re: multiple lineups

I should also mention, I have tried using other zip codes to try to trick the system in letting me select the same lineup multiple times This is a Zap2it server software limitation. There is nothing we can do about it right now. However, if you are using MythTV it allows you to associate the same S...
