Re: Failure to Update on GBPVR v1.0.16

i don't feel like an idiot - that's just crappy error handling A 500 error is an "Internal Server Error". It does not always mean that lineups have not been added, it just seems to be the most common cause in this case. GB-PVR recieves the error and throws a popup giving the details of the error wh...

Re: Failure to Update on GBPVR v1.0.16

How exactly did you turn off the recording service? Close the tray icon, run the following command from a command prompt:

Code: Select all

net stop "GB-PVR Recording Service"
Copy the the new dll to your Program Files\devnz\gbpvr directory. Then run config.exe and try updating the epg.

Re: Data anomaly?

I suspect your application is creating that date. That date is the Windows default for "new Date()". If the app is parsing a null or blank string into a date, that is the date that gets returned. The app should then check to make sure the date is newer than that. Hey! That looks like XMLTV format s...

Re: Top Apps Used

We were initially going to post hard numbers as soon as we got the privacy policy acceptance stuff squared away, but with the appearance of at least one competitor, we decided it might not be in our best interest as a business to disclose exactly how big our membership is. Easier to just keep dropp...

Wow. We need more GB-PVR users.

Re: I'm sorry, Not gonna renew.

There are PLENTY of non North Americans who would love the chance to pay the original Schedules Direct fee for reliable listings. The argument of "Well is used to be free so I'm not paying for it now" shows just how spoiled we were with Zap2It. If you figure the time you have put into building and c...

Re: Failure to Update on GBPVR v1.0.16

I had the same problem. After I paid my subscription and entered the correct username and password, added the patch, etc. Still no good. HERE IS WHAT WORKED: I then closed GBPVR and closed the GBPVR in the task bar AND then using Ctrl+alt+delete used the task manager to "processes" to close the Gbp...

Re: Wow, that was fast

We expect the additional members joining us in the coming weeks will allow us to put away some rainy day funds and begin making improvements in our hosting situation and to make improvements to the service overall. Right now we're running on donated equipment, with donated bandwidth, with donated l...
