Re: Mediaportal setup?

Been doing some searching and ran across thread albeit old :)
I'm trying my hardest to get SD and MP2 to play together nicely but I must be doing something wrong as I'm not very fluent in coding most of the time.

Curious as to if anyone else has had success with this??

Media Portal 2 And WebGrab+

I decided to upgrade to the newest version of Media Portal after a drive failure corrupted my trusty MP1.15 install. I have been reading good things about WebGrab+ being used in MP2 for EPG data. I am currently maintaining a hack manual method to keep my data up to date using Mc2Xml to download the ...

Re: Any Way To Support Android STB From SD Data?

Not really sure who the developer of this app really is. The STB came pre-installed with this app. Here is what I have found concerning this app https://sites.google.com/site/allaboutdreambox/plugins/crossepg https://github.com/E2OpenPlugins/e2openplugin-CrossEPG Sorry I don't have more and better i...

Converting xmltv.xml to tvguide.xml

Does anyone know of a bat file or similar method to perform this operation? I think I can automate things a little using xmltv in Media Portal while I sort through some other issues I need to address. I think I am on the right track with this idea by using this sort of thing with a scheduler and sch...

Cross EPG

Hello, I have been actively working on getting the guides working on my personal STB's and my HTPC. I have made some progress with my HTPC using MediaPortal to the point I have a usable guide ,not perfect yet but usable :) I have found a project called Cross EPG https://code.google.com/archive/p/cro...

Re: Best Grabber For MediaPortal and SD

strange.. is the windows user you extracted tv_grab_sd_json the same one you're using to run it? I would check permissions and ownership of the file. Robert Yes it is , I just caught it with a snipper and copied the output. That is just weird! I forgot about looking at file permissions I will see i...

Re: Best Grabber For MediaPortal and SD

Can you tell me the commands needed to view a sampling of the sat data from say 101°W? Did you mange to get perl installed and tv_grab_sd_json running? After you have done this the first step is to create a configuration file for tv_grab_sd_json. This can be done in a Windows command prompt with a ...

Re: Best Grabber For MediaPortal and SD

Thanks for the info! I will print this out and hopefully get strawberry perl installed soon. There is now an install wiki that was graciously added that I hope will get me through the install :)

Thanks again!
