Re: Are these fields available?

The loadMXF documentation says season name is "rare". I don't see any instances of it in the Rovi guide data. The example that comes to mind is the seasons of Heroes all have names which are shown on Netflix & Amazon - Season 1 is "Volume One: Genesis", Season 2 is "Volume Two: Generations", season ...

Are these fields available?

There are a few fields in Windows Media Center guide / MXF format that I don't see in the JSON responses, and I was wondering if I am just missing how to get them, or if they are available from upstream? series start and end date season name (separate from season number) has SAP (separate from the D...

Determining the language a program is in

How do I determine what language each program is in? Is it the same as the language field of the first description entries? (Somewhat related, the titles and descriptions are arrays -- are they prioritized, so that if an app only supports 1 or 2 titles per program, the best title is the first one? O...

Re: API 20141201: update to "map" section for lineup

I guess this is not done across all lineup types yet, as when testing whether I can parse every type I can find, I found that my local OTA lineup does not have the "mandatory" channel field populated, but does have the uhfvhf/atscMajor/atscMinor not on this list (and I don't think the analog uhfvhf ...

Re: Problem reading JSON index into C#

I got my code to work around the format by reading "data" into a generic object and parsing each element separately. Hacky, but it works: [DataContract] public class SDProgramImageResponse { [DataMember(Name = "programID", IsRequired = true)] public string programID { get; set; } [DataMember(Name = ...

Re: Problem reading JSON index into C#

The corresponding program response has "hasImageArtwork":true. In my first attempt I did make the request without checking, after getting the error I added a filter to only include IDs where hasImageArtwork=true and still got the error. Is that the hasImages boolean or is there some other? Edit: fou...

Problem reading JSON index into C#

When reading the JSON into an object, arrays can be read into an array or List type, maps can be read into a dictionary or a custom class type with named fields. But a class, (or a field within the class) must be one or the other, not both. The "data" element of each image index response is an array...

Re: QAM lineups for non-HDHR users?

Created support ticket for the -X lineup. For the QAM lineup, there are if I am counting right 205 unencrypted ClearQAM tunable channels out of the 906 in the CableCARD channel map. I'll have to write something to compile a list of which 205 those are. (80 of them are ads, another ~30 or so of are l...

Re: QAM lineups for non-HDHR users?

OK, the importer is 95% done. There are some channels in the scan that aren't in the lineup; "lcn" is the channel number from the set top box. Are all these channels actually tunable? If they are, then we need to get the lineup updated as well. Station from dump file is WGN America lcn:8 Station fr...
