Re: Is 7 days long enough?

I think that 7 days is enough to see the value. However I do have a suggestion: I think that once SD hosts the service themselves it would be nice to have a public test id and password, that would respond with fake data (a few fake channels, with fake schedules). This would allow someone to play aro...

Re: Wow, that was fast

OK,before someone else points it out, I had my math wrong, it was 23 bonus days, I was thinking one month, because my end date is 10 months from my signup date: 9 "paid" months, 23 "bonus" days and 7 "trial" days

Re: Wow, that was fast

Actually the early adopters were given a bonus already.
On the first extension (from 3 to 6 months) we received one extra day for each day we had had the service.
That added up to a full month for the ones who signed up on day 1.

Re: 401 Error with MythTV Upgrade

This looks to me like the normal behavior of HTTP authentication, and is the way mythfilldatabase has always run.
you send a request,
the server responds with 401 unauthorized
you pass the login/password
the server sends the document

Re: Multiple PVRs in one home - accceptable use of data

IANAL but... My take on it is that since the account details page lets you select multiple applications, there is no reason you could not have more than one copy of the same application too. However they must all be in your household. I replied since I suspect that the SD board members are probably ...

Re: Great Price! Now I need some help.

Using atrpms I found contrib in:
/usr/share/doc/mythtv-docs-0.20.2/contrib/

As a side note this was how I found it:
locate contrib|grep myth|egrep 'contrib$'

Re: Membership Extension

I don't know if you did something or it just took a while to propagate, but I just reran mythfilldatabase and it now reports the correct value.

Thanks for the quick response (and for putting SD together along with the other board members).

Membership Extension

As announced in the Announcements forum I did see my membership extended when I look at it through the SD website. However Mythfilldatabase still reports a membership expiration of 11/28/2007.
Is there a delay in propagating the extensions to TMS? Or is that some other problem?

Re: Ticket System now installed

I think there is a problem with the ticket system as it is now: We are not able to browse or search the existing lineup issues. This will probably result in duplicate reports by users for each problem. This is especially true for issues that affect a large number of users like the Canadian OTA issue...

Re: how's it going?

It is not obvious that you MUST delete and recreate all video sources in mythtv-setup. A strong note on the first video sources page to the effect that "You MUST delete and recreate your video sources when changing data suppliers" would save hours of time and frustration. Trust me on that! I did no...
