Re: EPG ID

BBC Three no longer exists as a linear channel, it shutdown last April, while the channel it shared with, CBBC, expanded its hours in the evening. BBC Three now only exists as an on demand selection on BBC iPlayer. The CW is a broadcast network that only airs during primetime on weeknights, the rest...

Yes, the listings for the SD feed doesn't have the HD flags. It's useful if you have software that lets you filter or search for HD programming.

Re: NBC data seems wrong thru Jan 2017

I guess you missed the promos, news reports and articles that have been covering this for the past 2 months+. WHDH is no longer affiliated with NBC as of today and is now independent. Boston's new NBC affiliate is WBTS. It's kind of complicated over the air: WBTSLD 8-1 (RF 46) - 101517 (A low power ...

Re: New field available in "contentRating": "country"

Is there an example for what the results would be like for Canada when it comes to movies? They're kind of unique where movies are rated on the Provincial level and not nationally.

Re: New stations available soon: "+1" and "+24"

Any chance you can do the callsign without the colon, like maybe a dash instead? The colon is a forbidden character on Windows, and some custom Windows Media Center software like MyChannelLogos uses the callsign for the file name of the logo it stores locally.

Re: Request for Comment: Freeview channels

The statement is accurate, in addition to the basic Freeview lineup there's also additional content you can get with an internet connection on newer Freeview boxes and TVs. Some of it requires a subscription, but a lot of it is just more channels for free. Personally, I don't like the idea of making...

Re: deaf signed

This is something different than DVS, in the UK and other parts of Europe they have hours where somebody is actually on the screen interpreting the current program with sign language.

DVS is when there's a voice narrating the scene for the blind, usually on an alternate audio channel.

Re: Irish listings

There is a lineup for Sky Ireland listed under the UK called "BSkyB - Eire (Ireland)", but it's missing all the Irish channels like RTE One, RTE2, RTEjr, RTE News Now, TV3, 3e, TG4, UTV Ireland, Oireachtas and Setanta Ireland.

If you want to add it manually, the ID is GBR-0001193-DEFAULT

Re: UK Freeview transmitters

I'm referring to the US style of a zip code specific OTA lineups based on the stations you can get, instead of the UK style where the OTA lineups are based on the DVB-T transmitter your antenna is pointed to. In the USA each TV station broadcasts their own signal, in the UK they have transmitters br...

Re: UK Freeview transmitters

The ATSC system used by USA (and Canada and Mexico) is not like the DVB-T systems used in Europe and other areas. We do not have specific transmitters broadcasting an entire digital lineup for the area, each TV station has their own transmitter. Some of those transmitters share the same tower, other...
