Re: TMS dropping Data Direct!!! But no reason to panic.

My usual xmltv.exe data-only download this morning failed with the error message "This request requires HTTP authentication."
Has something changed already? Is there a fix for this?

Re: Need help with Windows grabber

Not much luck in exploring alternatives: First, I extracted my 2007 zip file to a new directory for a fresh start. Next, I downloaded xmltv.exe from alpha-exe.xmltv.org to replace old one. Next, I downloaded the full windows distribution from files.xmltv.org. Also, I removed all pdk-* folders from %...

Re: Need help with Windows grabber

Robert, thanks for your interest. The full batch script if just as I listed it -- I just double-click that batch file to run it. My xmltv.exe (etc.) apparently came from zip file xmltv-0.5.48-win32.zip dated 2007-09-06. I'm afraid I don' t understand your suggestion that I run tv_grab_na_dd -- confi...

Need help with Windows grabber

I have been using a simple XMLTV grabber with Win7 for several years to download raw XML data. Unfortunately, a recent virus attack on this computer somehow managed to upset that arrangement. Oh, and don't overlook Wikipedia which is also good for episode charts.

Re: Recommendations for Historical Data

The only really good source for such information is web sites for individual programs, which list all episodes for all seasons. Fortunately many, if not most programs have such web sites these days.

Re: New feature: QAM Maps

And if I unsubscribe from announcements, where do I subscribe to receive notice of ShedulesDirect announcements regarding policy and services which affect all subscribers?

Re: New feature: QAM Maps

Is this really an announcement, or should it be discussed in a subtopic category? I am getting a little tired of getting "Announcement" emails only to discover it is more of this thread, in which I have no interest.

<messages>

Near the top of a raw XML file from TMS is an undocumented <messages> section, apparently added by SD, which tells me when my subscription expires. Is this section ever used for more-significant announcements from SD or can it safely be ignored?
